Lots of events and updates have come to light in the month of July, so let’s take a quick look at what has been going on in the Constellation ecosystem!

TEAM NEWS
July 17 — The team announced that Constellation Network has become a member of Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC). As you may be aware, Space ISAC will be the most comprehensive, single point source for data, facts and analysis on space secuirty and threats to space assets. July 22 — The team published a Research Collaboration Study paper on “Why Automotive Data Exchanges Fail in a B2B Environment” authored by our Constellation CRO and Co-Founder Benjamin Diggles and Sebastian Spitzer, Digital Innovation Manager of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket GmbH & Co KG. This paper is also co-authored by Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative (MOBI) Head of Program, Lucy Hakobyan. In September 2018, Constellation Network joined MOBI — a consortium which is accelerating the development of blockchain-enabled vehicle data and mobility services standard. The research paper primarily focuses on identifying shortcomings and proposing solutions to challenges encountered by the existing data marketplaces. Some of the key challenges discussed in this paper include platform ownership, platform monetisation, data monetisation design and security, data access and data quality. July 24 — Constellation CRO and Co-Founder Benjamin Diggles released a short video on what the team has been doing with the MOBI initiatives in the past 6 to 7 months. Mr Diggles mentioned that the team has been very active as part of the Connected Mobility Data Marketplace (CDCM) working group, which aims to enable a distributed ledger technology based data marketplace for stakeholders of the mobility data space, including OEMs, insurance providers, advertisers and others to effectively gather, record, access and share data with others. Due to large mobility ecosystem, the team has carved out a specific area of ecosystem that the Constellation Network technology can be applied to — operational approach around Lidar (light detection and ranging)and image data.
July 31 — The team was one of the 12 Silicon Valley startups participated in the LMI Ventures Virtual Startup Tech Showcase — “Enabling A Future-Ready Government”. LMI is a government consultancy dedicated to powering a future-ready, high-performing government and was founded with the help of the US Department of Defence, whereas LMI Ventures is a VC fund that aims to foster formal and exclusive partnerships with entrepreneurs whose technologies have potential to profoundly benefit federal agencies and their missions.

July 8 — Constellation CEO and Co-Founder Benjamin Jorgensen hopped into our Telegram channel to provide some updates to our community members including nodes onboarding, ongoing initiatives with the Federal government and a few commercial partners / consortiums as well as early conversations with various agencies on the new data standards published by Federal government. July 16 — The Daily Chain published an article “Constellation (DAG) Blasting Through 2020” on what Constellaton team has achieved in the past 6 months despite the global pandemic disrupting almost every industry. Some of the key achievements include Hypergraph mainnet launch, successful token swap, Molly wallet beta launch, exclusive interview between Constellation CEO Benjamin and the Office Head for the Convergence Accelerator — Dough Maughan at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the joining of MouseBelt Blockchain Education Alliance. July 19 — The team highlighted that there were scammers going around impersonating our Telegram admins to ask for money. Please be reminded that our admins will never direct message to our community members in Telegram. If this happened to you, please report it immediately to the actual admins in ourmain Constellation Community Telegram.
July 22 — Due to high demand from the community, the official Constellation OTC (Over-The-Counter) was implemented by our core community members to facilitate the trading of DAG tokens, typically involves a large sums of money transfer directly between individual buyers and sellers without the potential to disrupt exchange markets. Constellation OTC also accepts escrow service request that aims to give protection to buyers and sellers who exchange large sums of money for DAG. July 25 —Following the release of the Research Collaboration Study paper and CRO Benjamin’s video on MOBI, our community admin Cryptopleb took further initiative to deep dive the role of CDCM working group within the MOBI consortium. CMDM is chaired by General Motors and Denso, with the support from Accenture, Constellation Labs, Dealer Market Exchange, Ford, IBM, Nucypher, Ocean Protocol and Swedish Blockchain Association. July 30 — An AMA was held on Telegram between Constellation team — CEO Benjamin and COO Mateo and one of the top crypto influencers — tehMoonWalker. During the AMA, several key issues and latest updates were discussed, including nodes onboarding, potential revised DAG tokenomics, the role of DAG in the Hypergraph network, updates on collaboration with Chainlink, Quant, USAF, DoD, Space ISAC, Schaeffer, MOBI, Splunk and MongoDB.
